Welcome to
Oakwood
Church. Thanks for checking us out! We are a community of people who care passionately about God and about others. We’re convinced that the truths in the Bible are incredibly relevant for every life and every background, regardless of where you are on your own spiritual journey. Our hope is that you’ll experience the love of God through those truths and through the people of Oakwood!
Oakwood is located at the corner of Oakwood Road and Highway 83 in Delafield/Hartland.
We offer two Sunday morning worship services. Oakwood Live! services are at
and
in our
Worship
Center
featuring contemporary musical worship with vibrant bands and messages focused on putting God’s truths into practice in our everyday lives.
Parking is conveniently available in both lower and upper lots; the upper lot has reserved parking for single parents and for the elderly, while both lots have reserved handicapped parking.
Each of the lower and upper entrances have Welcome Centers where you can easily obtain information about midweek activities and ministries, as well as where to take your kids.
Speaking of kids…
Oakwood loves kids! We offer safe and loving care for your children from newborn through high school. Both the
and
services have age-appropriate care/classes for infants through sixth grade. Our
service also has fun-filled, quality learning up through high school. [Learn more about Children’s and Student Ministries]
If you’re bringing children, plan to arrive about fifteen minutes before the service begins. That way, you can find out from a greeter where to go, check your kids in with our wristband safety system, get your pager, and still have time to grab a cup of coffee or tea in the upstairs lobby!
What to wear?
Wear what’s comfortable for you! While most people dress casually on Sunday mornings, some prefer a more formal attire. To be honest, we’re a lot more interested in you as a person than in your clothes!
Hearing impaired?
Be sure to stop by the upper lobby
Welcome
Center
to borrow an assisted hearing device.
CONNECTING
Once you’ve attended Oakwood several times, you might want to take a further step into making Oakwood a regular part of your spiritual experience.
We’re convinced that there’s more to the “church thing” than only attending a worship service. It also has to do with connecting with other people who are on their own spiritual journeys—just like you—and being in relationship with each other, exploring what it means to live lives that are God-directed and others-loving.
Here are some options.
Anything else on Sunday morning?
Seasons, a series of short-term, Bible or topic-related classes for adults, offers several studies during both the
and
services.
Whether you’re in a specific season of life where you are looking for biblical answers and support (such as divorce or recent death of a loved one), or whether you’re looking to learn more of the Bible, a Seasons class might be just the thing for you.
It’s not unusual for some people to attend one of the worship services, and then attend one of the Seasons classes during another worship service time. This is also a great way to start meeting people in a smaller setting. [View a listing of current Seasons classes]
What about during the week?
You have lots of different types of gatherings to consider during the week.
Small Groups
Small groups meet in homes throughout the
Lake
Country
area. These groups study topics of their choice or they use Oakwood-written study notes based on the previous Sunday’s message, giving participants a chance to dialogue and apply what they’ve just heard. No homework; just show up and listen on Sunday, then come to your small group! [More information on Small Groups]
Starting Point
Starting Point is a conversational small group that is perfect for exploring the small group setting, as well as discovering God’s story and where you fit into it. [More information on Starting Point]
Women’s Groups
We Women offer a morning Bible study, evening Bible study, and a morning moms’ group weekly. Each of these uses a large-group teaching time along with small groups. [More information on We Women ministries]
Your KidsWednesday nights are hopping at Oakwood! We’ve got something for every kid from early childhood through high school. It’s a great midweek energizer! [More information on Children’s and Student Ministries]
