| Noah Palmer, D.Min. |
| Lead Pastor |
|
Originally a physical education major at Colorado State University, God redirected Pastor Noah's life into full time pastoral ministry. Noah and Kathi met at CSU, where they were both involved in Campus Crusade for Christ, and married in 1975. After Noah graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1979 they began their ministry together. They served in two Evangelical Free Churches before coming to Oakwood in 2000 (Taylorville, IL, 1979-87 and North Platte, NE, 1987-2000). They have five children: Jess (28), Caleb (26), Alyssa (24), Portia (16) and Sadie (15). Along the way, Noah also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, our Free Church seminary.
Pastor Noah's passion is to live and preach the Word of God in a manner that changes lives. He always wanted to be a coach and believes that he is. Only now he is coaching people to be disciples of Jesus, to be committed followers of our Lord. At the top of the list is also his family and a heart for missions. Of course, athletics remains a significant and enjoyable part of his life.
